Where Memories Become Momentum

Every summer at Camp Oconto leaves an imprint—moments of laughter, courage, and connection that shape who these girls become. The Ripple Effect lives within these stories, carried forward by campers who found their voice, their confidence, and their place.

We are so grateful for the Oconto Campership Fund, which made it possible for my daughter to attend camp during a very difficult time for our family.   She had the time of her life - making friends, gaining confidence, and creating memories she will never forget.

She proudly shows off her Oconto paddle with her camp  achievements to everyone.  Thank you for giving her this incredible opportunity, we will forever be grateful!  She is already counting down the days to return next summer.

Next year will be my 5th summer of going to Camp Oconto, and I’ve been loving it!

Oconto is so great for girls to grow confidence, community and more. I have made so many friends at Oconto and I can’t wait to make more! It is such a special place!

Camp Oconto feels like my second home.  The camp itself is full of life, both campers and staff make it special.

The opportunity to try a variety of activities is endless fun. There’s an indescribable passion that goes into everything.  The all girl experience makes it comfortable and welcoming. Everyone is kind and caring towards each other. It’s truly one of a kind and unforgettable.

Leaving every year is heartbreaking but the thought of coming back to the shores of Eagle Lake is what keeps me going.

The OCF enabled my girls to continue going to camp during a challenging season of life that included a difficult divorce process, moving, and job loss. At a time when their lives were in a stressful state of flux, camp was something predictable and positive they had to look forward to. They talked about it all year leading up, and I believe that knowing the joy and consistency of camp was there waiting for them really helped to keep them optimistic and happy during a stressful time.

They are proud to be camp girls and cherish their time at Oconto. They have been long-time campers since the age of Chickadees, and I was so relieved and grateful that, with the help of the OCF, I was able to keep that joyful consistency in their lives.

My girls are thoughtful, gracious, caring leaders and loving friends in their friend groups, in their family, and in their school communities. I know that camp has helped shape who they are becoming, and I am so grateful that it didn't have to be interrupted during this challenging season.

My girls have been going to Camp Oconto for several summers, and it has been a life-changing experience. They have all struggled with low self-esteem and low self-confidence, and by learning new skills and making new connections, they have really flourished.

They have all come back from summers at Oconto feeling stronger, more confident, and more independent. One of my daughters has become inspired to take up horseback riding, which she had never tried prior to Oconto. Two of my daughters have been so inspired by their summers at Oconto that they themselves would like to become leaders and counsellors at Camp Oconto.

Our family is incredibly grateful to the OCF. Our family has undergone significant and unexpected financial pressures, and this fund has allowed our girls to continue to have the special Oconto experience and to continue along their path of personal growth and development.

Thank you to both Oconto and the OCF for having such an incredibly positive impact on our girls' lives.
